Dr. Rahim Dhanani is a Head & Neck Surgeon and Otolaryngologist working at The Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi. He has completed his post-graduate training at The Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, followed by a sub-specialisation in Head & Neck Surgical Oncology from Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Lahore. He then went to the United Kingdom to do a fellowship in Head & Neck Surgical Oncology & Microvascular Reconstruction & Fellowship in Head & Neck Endocrine (Thyroid & Parathyroid) Surgery. He has a special interest in head and neck oncology and reconstructive surgery along with thyroid and parotid gland tumors having various publications on his name. He has got multiple scholarships, including from Harvard Medical School, ENT UK, Tarabichi and Stamberger Ear and Sinus Centre, and the German Society of Otolaryngology & HNS. He aims to create public awareness regarding head & neck cancers and believes that early diagnosis and treatment of these cancers can lead to significantly better treatment outcomes.
